Service Awards
The Society for Technical Communication gave me the Johnnie H. Kohl Chapter Service Award in 1992 and 1999 and the Distinguished Service Award in 1993 for my many contributions of time and energy to the Society and the profession.
In 2000, I was inducted into the Sahuaro High School Hall of Fame "for life achievements, generosity of spirit, and a willingness to give a hand up to people getting started in their careers."
In 2001, I was made an Associate Fellow of the Society for Technical Communication "for dedicated service as a mentor to those interested in the profession of technical communications and to those already in the profession who want to learn more."
In 2004, I was made a Fellow of the Society for Technical Communication "for excellence as a writer, manager, teacher, and amentor; and for contributing to the advancement of technical communication in the Society and his community."
