Chapter the Third: I win tickets from British Air

The latest news is that I won a couple of round-trip tickets to London on British Airways in early September. That was great fun. BA has been touring the country promoting their Concorde service under the name "Ride the Rocket." In each of their gateway cities, they had a costume contest. You'd dress up as a space traveller of some kind. I was an interstellar lounge singer: I had a promotional flyer and when they asked me to sing a song, I gave them the first verse of Mark Graham's "The Big Band Theory." It worked; I was one of the 50 pairs of tickets they gave away. This will make going to Ireland that much easier, or will at least allow us the possibility of going over there and doing recon work before hand to see what's what.

I also did something new in my career: I hired an agent. :) I'd been looking at one agent for about a year and a half and decided about the beginning of November that it was Time. So I'm now signed up with Studio B in Indiana. They're fantastic folks. (If you're a computer book author or a non-fiction author, you should also sign up for the Studio B computer book listserv--check their web site for more information.)
