Society for Technical Communication, Puget Sound ChapterThe Society for Technical Communication is an international non-profit organization for technical communicators of all kinds. It sponsors conferences, competitions, employment services, special interest groups, professional interest committees, seminars, and a wide variety of publications. The society's diverse membership includes writers, editors, illustrators, printers, publishers, educators, students, engineers, and scientists employed in a variety of technological fields. With more than 24,000 members worldwide, STC is the largest professional organization serving the technical communication profession. The Puget Sound STC chapter is the one of the largest chapters in the Society. There are local employment services, an annual competition, mini-seminars, scholarships, and monthly programs.

Remember that showing up at the door without pre-registering for a meeting will cost you an additional $5 late-registration fee.
